Grandview is excited to announce that preparations for our Spring Musical are now underway! We will be performing “The Most Epic Birthday Party Ever”, a fun story about a backyard birthday party that descends into chaos after the children realize all the adults have disappeared and they’re on their own!
Rehearsals will run from January to May on Tuesdays from 3:40pm-5:00pm. Performances will take place May 29-30-31, time to be announced.
The musical is open to grade 3, 4, 5 and 6 students. An information session for students was held Tuesday, November 27. Any students wanting to audition for a speaking role in the show were sent home with a snippet from the script for the character they were most interested in.
Auditions for speaking roles are being held TUESDAY, DECEMBER 5th from 3:40pm-5:00pm in the gym. Students will need to make arrangements to be picked up at 5:00pm. Scripts DO NOT need to be memorized, but students should still be well-prepared to act their part. Please make sure to have two additional characters in mind in case you aren’t successful with your first choice. If a student is only interested in working backstage or simply singing in the chorus, they DO NOT need to attend the auditions. Please note: students should only audition if they know they will be able to attend the weekly Tuesday rehearsals. A final cast list will be posted before the holidays.
